Dave talks about his work with the Foundation for Community Association Research Think Tank and the newly released Built to Last: Strategies for Extending the Economic Life of Community Associations, including a new tool designed to help HOAs evaluate their economic life.

We also get into the importance of routine preventive maintenance, maintenance manuals, and planning for the long-term health of a community. Dave shares a special dedication to the late Tom Miller, a pioneer in construction defect litigation who helped pave the way for the maintenance manual.
